In 2026, the University of Pécs, in cooperation with the PEAC sports club, will once again join the nationwide initiative of the Hungarian Parasport Day. Although the official commemorative day falls on Sunday, 22 February, the event in Pécs will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026, between 9:00 and 12:00, in the atrium of Building “A” of the ETK.
During the first part of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to become closely acquainted with parasports: alongside presentations of PEAC’s parasport disciplines, visitors will also be able to try out the equipment on site.
In the second part of the event, a moderated discussion will introduce the world of Hungarian parasport, PEAC’s parasport sections, and the inspiring stories of parasport athletes from Pécs.
The aim of the event is to promote parasport, raise awareness, and highlight the importance of equal opportunities.
