Run for Cancer Treatment - 2025

Support the recovery of children battling cancer by participating in the University of Pécs “Run for Cancer Treatment!” charity run this year!
- Date: September 13, 2025 (Saturday)
- Location: Széchenyi Square, Pécs
All proceeds from the run will be donated entirely to the EURAKVILO Pediatric Oncology and Children's Hospice Public Benefit Foundation.
Program Schedule
- 09:00–10:30 – PTE Blue Zone Health Day
- 10:30–10:40 – Opening ceremony
- 10:40–10:50 – Group warm-up
- 11:00–11:30 – Start: run, jog, walk (2.6 km)
- 11:30–12:00 – Prize draw and running ambassador awards
Route: Széchenyi Square – Irgalmasok Street – Citrom Street – Jókai Square – Apáca Street – Szent István Square – Janus P. Street – Mária Street – Flórián Square – Nagy Flórián Street – Király Street – Széchenyi Square

3,000 HUF or more / person → thank-you T-shirt (while supplies last)
Less than 3,000 HUF → certificate of appreciation

Pick-up of T-shirt & donation payment:
Pre-registered participants can collect their thank-you T-shirt and pay their donations on September 11, 9:00–17:00 at the UNIV College Aula (Pécs, Breuer Marcell Promenade 2).
On-site registration: September 13, 9:00–10:00 (Széchenyi Square)
T-shirts at on-site registration are available while supplies last.
New in 2025: Health Day with prize games!
This year, the event has a new look: before the run, the PTE Blue Zone Health Day welcomes children and adults alike!
Colorful programs, demonstrations, and interactive stations will highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle, sports, prevention, and safety in a fun, engaging way.
Activities include:
- Skill games and sports programs (PTE TTK STI, ATS Focivilág)
- Dance performances (Táncoló Egyetem)
- CPR and fall-safety demonstrations (Magyar Gyermekmentő Alapítvány, Kids Save Lives, Safe Fall Safe Schools)
- Health screenings (PTE ETK)
- Road safety games (Police)
Those who visit at least three stations during the Health Day will be entered into a prize draw for valuable rewards.
