Run for Cancer Treatment - 2026

Join the University of Pécs “Run for Cancer Treatment!” charity run again this year and help support the recovery of children battling cancer!

• Date: 19 September 2026 (Saturday)
• Location: Széchenyi Square, Pécs

All donations collected through the run will go entirely towards supporting the work of the Péter Tölösi Foundation.

On-site registration is available between 9:00 and 10:00!

Programme:

• 09:00–10:30 – PTE Blue Zone Health Day
• 10:30–10:40 – Official opening ceremony
• 10:40–10:50 – Group warm-up
• 11:00 – Start: running, jogging and walking (2.6 km)
• 11:45 – Prize draw and awards ceremony for running ambassadors

Registration

Pre-registration: 27 August – 15 September 2026

• or through the running ambassadors

Participants who register in advance can collect their thank-you T-shirts on 17 September between 9:00 and 17:00, and make their donation to the Péter Tölösi Foundation at the Szalay László Dormitory Aula (Pécs, Breuer Marcell Promenade 2.). Alternatively, donations can be made through a running ambassador by prior arrangement.

On-site registration: 19 September 2026, 9:00–10:00 (Széchenyi Square). The thank-you T-shirt will also be available on-site, while supplies last!

Before the run: Health Day with a prize draw!

Before the run, the PTE Blue Zone Health Day will welcome children and adults alike!

Colourful programmes, demonstrations and interactive stands will introduce the importance of a healthy lifestyle, sport, prevention and safety in an engaging and playful way.

Programmes:

• skill-based games and sports activities (PTE TTK Institute of Sport Sciences and Physical Education, ATS Focivilág)
• dance performances (Dancing University)
• CPR and fall-safety demonstrations  (Kids Save Lives, Safe Fall Safe Schools)
• health screenings (PTE Faculty of Health Sciences)
• road safety games (Police)

Those who visit at least three of the Health Day activity stations will be entered into an on-site prize draw, where they can win valuable prizes.
